First Aid Responder - Approved
STAC continue to lead the way. STAC are the first private company to be approved to run the new First Aid Response course by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council. This is the replacement course for Occupational First Aid which will be phased out. Read more about this great new course here.
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) and the Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) are presently in the process of transitioning from Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) Occupational First Aid (OFA) learner training standard to PHECC’s First Aid Response (FAR), as the recognised standard meeting the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299 of 2007). The HSA is in communication with both QQI and PHECC on the transition.
From 1st November 2016, the HSA will recognise both QQI OFA and PHECC FAR learner certificates as meeting the needs of occupational first aid.
This is an interesting time of change in our First Aid Training industry, STAC First Aid are proud to be the first private company to be approved to deliver this new standard. This is as a result of many hours and days of work on developing the new program during the summer months. We here at STAC First Aid are always striving for improvement in the service we can offer our clients, and this recent approval is testiament to that.
